Fire Department

South Hadley Fire District No. 2 Fire Department has been serving our district since 1909.

We are a combination department with 5 full time and 30 on-call personnel providing Fire Protection, Emergency Medical Services, and Search and Rescue to our residents 24/7. Through mutual aid agreements, we are also able to provide assistance to neighboring districts and towns.

District 2 encompasses a diverse community including single and multi-family residences, commercial and retail buildings, public schools, a major college campus, and large sections of undeveloped woodlands.

In addition to Fire and EMS protection District 2 Fire also serves our residents by providing Fire Inspections and Life Safety education.
